Bonjour and bienvenue!
La Maison Olivanne, French Bed and Breakfast hosted by Valentin and Karen, both vaccinated for the covid-19, is located on the North Fork of Long Island, in the countryside surrounded by wineries, farms, and between the Peconic Bay and the Sound of Long Island. In the heart of the village of Southold, a walking distance from the Bay, La Maison Olivanne is ready to welcome our guests from Manhattan to give them a sense of peace, rest and family joie de vivre. La Maison Olivanne is a part of the Southold Opera house property and the spirit of music and poetry is in the air.
You can take the Hampton Jitney bus in Manhattan and arrive at the Maison Olivanne without need of driving. Then you can rent bikes or book tours with Valentin.
The Maison Olivanne is at walking distance of little shops and restaurants in Southold. With a car or bicycle, you will enjoy the visit of Greenport, Shelter Island, East marion, and have access to sea activities if you are a fan! Please make sure to contact us in advance for the booking of your stay during the Holidays! Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Prices are proposed per night and per bedroom for 2, including breakfast and cleaning fee. Possibility of special prices for families booking 3 bedrooms at least and for a week stay.

Breakfast
Karen is cooking for you a delicious breakfast. Please tell us what you like and what you not like and your personalized most important meal of the day will wait for you on one of our round tables or in the garden. We even have clear beautiful tents with heat for your Winter breakfast!
Garden
The garden is big and surrounded by white elegant fences "a l'Anglaise", allowing children to play safely, without stopping the sight of the life in the village.
Tours
Valentin will organize for you a winery tour or sea activities like fishing or finding a boat and its captain to tour the beautiful Peconic bay.
Free Wifi
Of course, the Wifi is available all around the house.

Wineries Tour
The North Fork on the East End of Long Island is known for its beautiful wineries and tasting rooms.
Leisure Activities
You can rent bikes on the property. Ask Valentin to book them for you before your arrival. There is a fee of $18 per day per bicycle.
Walks are everywhere, there is a beautiful one at the Horton's Lighthouse. If you love fishing, there are plenty of spots! You can even play tennis and of course enjoy the beaches.
Cultural Sites
There are a lot of very charming and historic sites near Southold: the Horton's Lighthouse, the village of Greenport, the little Saint Tropez of Long Island, Shelter Island accessible with the ferry from Greenport, sea promenades from the Port of Egypt in Southold, Tour in the ferry from Orient POint to the Connecticut, promenades in the Hamptons, etc...

In Spring, Winter and Fall the farm stands and markets are everywhere on the route 25 and the route 48,
Horse Riding , sailing
Horse riding and sailing are the young ones favorites in Summer. There are plenty of day camps in Southold, Mattituck and up to Riverhead.
